There should be a limit on how short the punishment should be. Both a judge and jury can be swayed, including the prosecution, so if there is undeniable evidence, they should be convicted if the judge/jury finds the accused not guilty. They reoffend, they must suffer punishment, like removal from position as judge and removal from all proceedings in the legal system, plus a huge fine, for failing the justice system, only if it is an obvious victim-blaming case.

Sexual assault should be punishable by chemical castration and imprisonment full stop. If you can't control yourself enough to stop your impulses, then you have the right to choose taken away from you and get mandatory education in prison

Due to the severity of the case and the potential traumatic risks involved to the alleged victim, the alleged victim should have the choice over how their case is decided

Biased judges regularly allow people accused (and convicted) of sexual assault to go free, with virtually no accountability. Victims deserve to be treated with dignity, and regardless of a trial being by judiciary or jury.
