Should frozen embryos be considered children?
An embryo is an initial stage of development of a multicellular organism. In humans, embryonic development is the part of the life cycle that begins just after fertilization of the female egg cell by the male sperm cell. While it can be argued that they are children, due to their limited development, being on par with or less complex then some amoeba, in terms of legality of wrongful death of minors being applied to embryos, they should be excluded, due to the lack of any form of cognative, sensory, or other essential bodily functions present later on in development.
