It strongly depends on the circumstances and immigration should be made more accessible to reduce the need for coming to the country illegally

 @92BYJH2answered…4yrs4Y

Only if they are non-citizens. Citizens should not be treated any differently from those born in Australia.

 @8V2VNFHLiberalanswered…5yrs5Y

Yes as long as it is safe for them to return and they have lived in Australia for less than 5 years.

 @8RNXJXKanswered…5yrs5Y

If they commit a serious crime by Australian standards then they should face punishment by Australian standards as would any citizen

 @8JVDVLTanswered…6yrs6Y

Only if they have not gained citizenship or residency. And that it is safe for them to return to their countries

 @8W2MC4Sanswered…5yrs5Y

I think it should be reviewed as a case by case situation. Things to consider are what type of crime they have committed, how safe it is for the person to return to his or her country, how much of a burden or threat the person would be to Australia or the country he or she came from.

 @8RWQ6JManswered…5yrs5Y

No, if they became a citizen before they commited the crime. Yes if they were not a citizen and it is safe for them to return to their country.

 @92ZH9C3answered…4yrs4Y

Each case should be assessed individually taking real consideration of the individual circumstances
