Should Australia conduct military strikes against North Korea in order to destroy their long-range missile and nuclear weapons capabilities?
In 2016 the North Korean government reported that it had conducted a ground test of a new rocket engine intended to power the first stage of an intercontinental ballistic missile. The Turnbull government condemned the test a threat to "peace and security … in our region and beyond." Opponents of airstrikes argue that the tests are false flags and that the Chinese will prevent the North Korean government from carrying out airstrikes. Proponents of airstrikes argue that North Korea must be stopped before it has the chance to launch a nuclear missile outside into another continent.

No one needs nuclear missiles anymore than Americans need semi auto guns in their houses. No point taking it off just one. The USA is just as crazy.

If we attack North Korea, that will set them off to begin the attack on Australia whilst being allied with China, which would bode very poorly for our country, I don't think it is worth the risk of war.
@9HCXTZW1yr1Y
Maybe, but we should use every diplomatic option first, and let China address the issue, but only use military strikes if North Korea presents an immediate threat to us.
@9F9VNPV2yrs2Y
Only if all other diplomatic options are exhausted, it should be done in conjuction with an international effort to destroy the North Korean dictatorship and reunify the peninsula.
@9KM7C7Z1yr1Y
No, we do not want to anger them. We can only hope someone on their side can convince them that it's not necessary.
@92PZDQ83yrs3Y
