Authorities in Ukraine, with support from French police and Europol, have arrested the suspected administrator of XSS.is, one of the most notorious Russian-language cybercrime forums.
The forum, which had over 50,000 registered users, served as a key marketplace for stolen data, hacking tools, and illicit services, generating millions in criminal profits. The arrest follows a four-year international investigation involving wiretaps and cross-border cooperation. XSS.is is considered one of the oldest and most significant platforms in the Russian-speaking cybercrime world.
The takedown marks a major blow to the global cybercrime ecosystem.
