The latest Henley Passport Index for 2025 reveals that Singapore retains its position as the world's most powerful passport, granting visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 193 destinations.
Asian countries, particularly Japan and South Korea, continue to dominate the top ranks, while European nations also feature prominently. Notably, India made its biggest jump ever, climbing eight spots to 77th place, now allowing Indian citizens visa-free access to 59 countries. In contrast, the United States and United Kingdom have slipped further down the rankings, reflecting tightening immigration policies and reduced global mobility.
The index highlights shifting global mobility trends, with Asian and Middle Eastern countries gaining ground as Western passports lose some of their traditional strength.
