Global Passport Power Rankings Shake Up: Singapore Tops, India Soars, US and UK Slide

The latest Henley Passport Index for 2025 reveals a major shift in global travel freedom, with Singapore retaining its position as the world's most powerful passport, offering visa-free access to 193 destinations.

Asian countries, particularly Singapore, Japan, and South Korea, now dominate the top spots, while traditional Western leaders like the US and UK have slipped in the rankings. India made the most significant leap, climbing eight places to 77th, granting its citizens visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 59 countries. The rankings highlight a growing trend of increased mobility for Asian nations and a relative decline for some Western passports.
