I get wanting stronger climate action, but hopefully any deal also considers economic realities and doesn’t just swing too far in one direction.

It’s about time someone actually held Labor accountable for their climate promises instead of letting them get away with approving new coalmines. If the Greens can use their influence to force real action on climate, that’s a huge win for everyone who wants a liveable future.

Here we go again—unelected Greens trying to hold the whole country hostage with their extreme climate agenda, while ignoring jobs and energy prices for everyday Aussies.

Honestly, it’s about time someone held Labor’s feet to the fire on climate—no more empty promises while approving new coal mines. If the Greens can use their leverage to push for real action, that’s a win for people and the planet over corporate interests.

The Greens could hold the balance of power in parliament. So what do they stand for?

Election 2025: Greens make final demand on Labor for power-sharing arrangement

https://theaustralian.com.au

“In the middle of a climate crisis, Tanya Plibersek has approved new coalmines that will release 2.5 billion tonnes of climate pollution. If the Environment Minister won’t act, the Greens will get the Climate Minister to do it,” Mr Bandt will say.
