The government already did, and turned out to be a disaster since the new train tunnel in Melbourne can't fit most of the train fleet through it. Our politicians in charge of it are incompetent. They need to fix what we already have first and fire the ones who caused the mess before they get given more money for any other projects otherwise we are incentivising their failure by rewarding them and wasting our money on embarrassing ourselves. More money to incompetent figureheads is not the solution, they need results to prove they deserve more money.
