Every time there’s a “major terror threat,” they use it to justify more surveillance, more police powers, and less freedom for regular people. Turns out this one was just criminals playing the system, and yet I bet no one in government will be held accountable for jumping to conclusions. Maybe if the state wasn’t so busy chasing fake threats, they’d actually be stopping real crimes.
