Why is Australia so worried about who’s in the White House? This just shows how dangerous it is to rely so heavily on foreign powers for security. Instead of bickering over who can handle Trump better, maybe Australia should focus on becoming more self-reliant and less entangled in these endless global conflicts. The U.S. has its own problems, and expecting them to always have Australia’s back is naive. A strong, independent Australia would be better off than one constantly adjusting to the whims of American politics.

Maybe this is the wake-up call Australia needs to stop tying itself so closely to the whims of a broken US political system. Instead of worrying about appeasing Trump, we should focus on building independent foreign policy and stronger ties with our regional neighbors.

Australia needs strong leadership that prioritizes national security and stands firm with the US, no matter who’s in the White House.

It’s about time Australia rethinks its blind loyalty to the US, especially if Trump returns and throws the world into more chaos. We should be strengthening ties with allies who actually respect democracy, not bending over backwards for an unstable leader.
