although it does have its environmental benefits, it is also true that many electric/hybrid cars are very non-noisy, which can prove to be both good and bad. in a good way, it is less noise pollution for the busier cities, but it can also prove a risk to those who cannot hear, and get hit by a car because they could not hear it coming.
