Yes

 @9XPYG8Gfrom Guam  agreed…3wks3W

We can make electricity green, but not fossile fuel engine, so essentially we must transition at some point to EV, I would say as soon as feasible

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...2wks2W

No, incentivize consumers and manufacturers instead of forcing them

 @9ZNMKQBNew Liberalanswered…1wk1W

No, focus on making the grid sustainable and environmentally-friendly, in particular nuclear, and then begin to heavily incentivize, not force, citizens (and manufacturers) to convert.

 @9ZLYK7FLaboranswered…2wks2W

The government should mandate outcomes on reducing environmental impact to certain thresholds, and let Manufacturers determine how to meet those mandates. They should not prescribe specific technologies over others.

 @9ZF35QBGreenanswered…2wks2W

Yes in cities/highly populated areas. However in country/outback Australia this would be an issue as charging stations would be few and far between when your hours from the nearest towns

 @9ZDYQSWLaboranswered…2wks2W

i beleive they should invest in hydrogen fuel cells and insetivize more efficient peroleum cars as i dont believe that elctric cars are vaiable

 @9WV5Y6Zanswered…1mo1MO

In future yes. Could stop the making of new cars that aren't running from renewable energy. Complex topic

 @9WTKHM6answered…1mo1MO

Absolutely not. Instead, incentivize manual vehicle production. You have so much more control over a manual vehicle, and you're so much more attentive when you need to be active while driving.

No, eletric cars should be banned as they are more harmful to the environment than petrol or disel cars

 @9TBZZV6Liberalanswered…3mos3MO

cars should be prodominently electric by 2035. And all diesel cars should be registered as historical monuments that can be legal to drive anytime

 @9TBNDVManswered…3mos3MO

Only if it can be sufficiently determined that doing so will provide significant environmental benefit

 @9SRJ4QLanswered…3mos3MO

Yes, for personal private vehicles registered and operated in suburban and high population areas to improve air quality.

 @9SQ56QGanswered…3mos3MO

although it does have its environmental benefits, it is also true that many electric/hybrid cars are very non-noisy, which can prove to be both good and bad. in a good way, it is less noise pollution for the busier cities, but it can also prove a risk to those who cannot hear, and get hit by a car because they could not hear it coming.

 @9S5PSBBanswered…4mos4MO

The government shouldn't require all new cars to be a certain makeup because others may not be able to afford the vehicle.

 @9KQ7K5FLabor from Guam  answered…4mos4MO

 @9RXFJPYanswered…4mos4MO

Yes, but they must lower the prices of electrical vehicles in order to incentivise citizens within society to support the sustainable decision

Increasingly stricter emissions controls drive technological development naturally. Enforce it.

 @9RSXS5Hanswered…4mos4MO

No, This is an unrealistic expectation unless they create a plan to swap peoples existing car

 @9RRK55Kanswered…4mos4MO

No, and the Government should subsidize any Auto manufacturer wishing to re-establish a plant in Australia to support local manufacturing

 @9RP389Danswered…4mos4MO

 @9RJJXTYanswered…4mos4MO

 @9QRKNM2answered…5mos5MO

Yes. However allow the us of non electric/ hybrids as long as the vehicle is over 20 years old

 @9QQXC8Banswered…5mos5MO

Depends how feasible it is. The idea of it is nice, but how practical is it? If it was a good idea, it would have been implemented long ago. Maybe it’ll cost the government more money and therefore it’s just been talked about?

 @9PYNG74answered…5mos5MO

Once this solution is appropriate for people in regional and remote Australia re: charging options.

 @9PWMYY4answered…5mos5MO

No, the government should not be allowing all future cars to become electric or hybrid

 @9WCSSJJanswered…1mo1MO

Eletric vehicals are more detremantal to the environment due to the refinement and transportation of materials used to construct the battery and the vehical. Furthermore, most eletric vehicals are created in China, if we switch to only eletric cars we will become dependent on them. This means if war were to break out, they could cripple us by denying us imports. For these reasons we should put massive tarifs on eletric cars from china.

 @9W7FMBVanswered…1mo1MO

They should ensure a certain amount by a certain time, not all, and it shouldn't be a 100% strict policy as people in other countries should be allowed to buy diesel cars if that's all they can afford. Progress shouldn't be made at the sacrifice of a disadvantaged group of people.

 @9W7BLMRanswered…1mo1MO

Yes, but only for those who can afford an electric or hybrid vehicle - perhaps this would apply to those earning above a certain salary.

 @9VYHRZ5answered…1mo1MO

No, and it should actually limit electric cars, as most of the parts for electric cars come from our foreign adversaries.

 @9VX54J2answered…1mo1MO

This is only going to work if we are able to move to sustainable energy. If we are burning coal for electricity to run cars, having electric cars won't really change much.

 @9VWLNHDanswered…1mo1MO

No. Not until prices of vehicles and replacement batteries are on parity with the cost of fuel powered vehicles

 @9VQ8C6Banswered…2mos2MO

They're cars. If there's a way to make them eco friendly while still just as efficient as fuel and diesel cars, then maybe. However, right now, electric cars are in no way as good as fuel/diesel cars.

 @9VF9ZV2answered…2mos2MO

No, because electric and hybrid model cars are wildly inefficient in both performance and manufacturing. They require many more precious metals than regular cars and have caused a rise in illegal mining and manufacturing that directly impedes on human rights, the economy, and the environment.

 @9TWZWH5answered…2mos2MO

No, but non-electric cars should be taxed to encourage the purchase of more environmentally friendly alternatives

 @9SSPP6Danswered…3mos3MO

It is extremely important to contribute positively towards aiding the fight against climate change however not everyone has the funds to afford another car

 @9MYFHGPanswered…6mos6MO

Cars powered by internal combustion and cars powered by electricity or hybrids are all still cars. Cars are inherently on a mass scale a very inefficient way to travel and ruin cities. Instead, as I've said earlier numerous times in this test, public transport should be free, efficient, guaranteed as a right and incentivised to reduce the need to own a car and hence decrease pollution, waste and congestion.

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...2wks2W

No, electric vehicle parts can be just as dangerous to the environment as emissions

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...2wks2W

No, the government has no right to interfere in consumer choices or the free market

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...2wks2W

Yes, and require all emission based machinery to transition to clean energy

What're your thoughts on balancing long-term environmental benefits with the higher upfront cost of buying electric vehicles today?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

If electric vehicles became the norm, how do you think that would impact everyday life for you and your community?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…2mos2MO

How do you feel about the government making rules that could push everyone toward specific types of cars, like electric vehicles?

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...2wks2W

No, not until we find an eco-friendly and humane way to acquire the materials

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...2wks2W

Yes, but only if it includes subsidies for low-income citizens to afford these vehicles
