Craig Austin Lang, a 34-year-old former U.S. Army soldier, has been extradited from Ukraine to face charges in Florida related to a 2018 double homicide and armed robbery.
Lang, who had been involved in an 'international crime spree' according to U.S. authorities, faced indictments in multiple states including Florida, North Carolina, and Arizona since 2019. After the alleged crimes, Lang reportedly attempted to join Ukrainian forces following Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022 but was ultimately extradited after fighting the process for years.
He appeared in a Florida court for his first hearing on Monday.
