No, I do not believe that The Federal Australian Government should not defund the Police

Police are an important part of Australian Society and enforce the purposes of laws and regulations upon society. If we defund the Police, Australia will become out of control and Young and adult crime rates would spike dramatically. Police control whether people can do whatever they desire or not and keep society in a productive and effective running state. There are many examples of how bad crime can become in Australia without the proper supervision of Australian Police and their impacts have been seen clearly.
