Should immigrants be required to learn English?

I believe it depends on what the individual wants to achieve in Australia

If they would like to get a job or make it easier for them to get through everyday life as a member of our society without a translator than it should definitely be in their best interest to learn English, but, I don't believe that it should be a legal requirement for them to be able to speak English.
