a lot of the time welfare payments made by the government curb its ability to invest in more economically and environmentally and socially benefical things such as increased investment in renewable energy sources or other environmental opportunities that will help curb the growing climate crisis. but it is essential that welfare payments are made to those in need in order to maintain higher standards of living across the nation and so i think its best that as of now the restrictions remain as they are.
