There is no benefit to Ukraine being in NATO as NATO is already, on paper, vastly superior to Russia both in terms of the economy and military, it also has a population vastly greater than Russia.

We risk sparking a wider conflict for no obvious benefit.

NATO was used to counter the Soviet Union, which was demolished in 1991, so NATO should've been demolished at the same time.

If Australia was seeking safety from China and china invaded Australia, claimed QLD as its own would it be our fault or Chinas?

There are alot of other peoples interests manipulating the situation for their own agenda. It is unfair to believe that we have all of the facts of the situation to make an informed opinion due to manipulation and fake news.

According to the corruption perception index. “In total, over the past 10 years, Ukraine has added 11 points, which is the largest increase among the countries that currently have the status of EU candidates.
Last year, Ukraine gained 33 points (+1 point) and ranked 116th.” Referring to its improvements in lowering corruption in the country.

Accepting them into NATO could risk a third world war which is extremely dangerous with the risk of countries using nuclear weapons. Wait until after this war ends then decide based on the future circumstances.

Simply, allowing Ukraine into NATO at this point in time means that all of NATO would be brought in, most likely including Australia if China was in the war. That would pose a grave threat to Australia due to the fact that China is much stronger and US support would be rare.
