This considers the idea of removing government-imposed traffic laws and relying instead on individual responsibility for road safety. Proponents argue that voluntary compliance respects individual freedom and personal responsibility. Opponents argue that without traffic laws, road safety would significantly decline and accidents would increase.

Yes, but traffic incidents should still be punished
@B2ZHWGD4wks4W
Reform all traffic laws. Abolish all victimless crime laws. For traffic laws that place others at risk, only enforce penalties if a traffic violation leads to damage of property or injury of another person (and enforce harsh penalties such as a manslaughter charge in the latter case)

I believe certain things should be looked at such as stupid speed limits
@B2WGS2X1mo1MO
No, traffic laws are important for public safety. Traffic fines, however, need to be made more equitable. A $600 fine for speeding for the average citizen, is a hefty blow, and is likely too high. But for a wealthy citizen, $600 could mean absolutely nothing, thus not incentivising their compliance, and ultimately perpetuating the idea that money allows one to be above the law.

I want specifically the Queensland government to make U-turns more available as currently missing a turn can impact a drive by an hour if unlucky.
@B2J6PXZ2mos2MO
No, but they should make fee’s cheaper & be less strict about phones (because yes, you shouldn’t be on your phone while driving, but getting a multi-hundred dollar fine for tapping something on your phone is ridiculous.)
@9ZQSH894mos4MO
Reasonable enforcement rather than revenue raising.
@9ZR2LN54mos4MO
No, this reeks of libertarianism which is disgusting and degenerate
