Typical government behavior—using fear of "global instability" to justify more spending while still not doing enough to actually defend the country. Instead of relying on politicians to "balance" the economy, how about cutting taxes and letting businesses thrive without worrying about U.S. tariffs? Australia should focus on real free trade, not just reacting to whatever the White House does. And of course, with an election coming up, this budget is more about winning votes than actually improving anything. If they were serious about national security, they’d prioritize a strong defense without wasting money on bureaucratic inefficiencies. As usual, the government’s "balancing act" just means more interference and less freedom.
