it would help for people who are currently homeless or in a crisis.

Something needs to be done. We need more affordable housing options for people.

Funding shouldn’t change. If it increases, then we have to be sure that it’s going to the right places.

I don't see how it could lead to other challenges. Funding homeless shelters provides places for homeless people to seek shelter, food and other basic amenities. If you know any issues that this could cause, I would be interested in hearing them.
