No

 @9ZLXPGGLabordisagreed…3mos3MO

We need AI that works like a shield. Its coming whether we like it or not and the race will leave us behind.

 @9ZJWNN9Liberaldisagreed…3mos3MO

If AI can be refined to automate weapons, veichles and aircraft it could darastically reduce the amount of deaths on the battlefield for allied soilders

 @ISIDEWITHDiscuss this answer...9mos9MO

Yes

 @9ZLXPGGLaboragreed…3mos3MO

Its a race. Every now and then an existential threat comes into existence. AI is one of them. If you arent the first you will be left behind.

 @9WTKHM6answered…4mos4MO

A country needs to be strong, in all ways. Yes. I don't want to train AI to kill people, but there is little good in being good, if you have no power to stay that way.

i don't think that we should be encouraging the use of AI in general, as it can be harmful to women and people in general, but can be used for some good things.

 @9NLJHFDanswered…9mos9MO

Small investment into if, however putti no money into defence is a waste cause we are not getting attacked

 @B26CSL8Laboranswered…2mos2MO

AI should be used in some defence applications, but very sparsely, AI can’t be fully trusted to have lots of control over defence because of its lack of efficiency.

 @B24STGSLaboranswered…2mos2MO

Yes, but under extremely strict supervision and utilization, and it is to be prohibited the moment it puts the lives of personnel at risk.

 @9ZSXRDGLiberalanswered…3mos3MO

Only to an extent. The government should not put all their trust and resources in to AI, but it is a good idea to utilise its abilities without over-relying on it

 @9ZSXRD9Liberalanswered…3mos3MO

To an extent, as being able to use AI in a effective and efficient mannor would be a major advantage but being overreliance could be dangerous as AI is prone to spreading major misinformation.

 @9YM4RGFGreenanswered…3mos3MO

Yes, but it must always have human oversight and final human decision making, and it must not be used to target civilians or break international laws

 @9YHWNV5Liberalanswered…3mos3MO

Yes. This should be used. However it should not be capable of directly controlling the firing of weapons .

 @9WV5Y6Zanswered…4mos4MO

Yes most likely. However this sounds like a military question not for local government elections or people. Would need a group of experts to extend on the decision.

 @9VRD7T3answered…4mos4MO

Yes but should impose extreme caution when doing so and only use it when they are 100% sure it is reliable.

 @9V86YRZGreenanswered…5mos5MO

Artificial intelligence can be used as a tool to take in information and automate tasks, but should never have the ability to take a life

 @9V4RPLJLiberalanswered…5mos5MO

Yes, but in a closed system, no access to the military network, and strictly to strategist against potential threats. Using AI to feed it data and it assist in decision making.

 @9TQPHWXanswered…5mos5MO

The repairs should artificial invest as application heads under way as said government feedback admins

 @9T8V22Banswered…5mos5MO

Possibly, but the government should wait until AI and its impacts and usefulness have been further tested.

 @9RKZCVBanswered…7mos7MO

Yes, as long as funding for these type of weapons goes towards minimising risks of civilian casualties if possible.

 @9R4DR33answered…7mos7MO

Yes, they should include some ai defence but still have humans operating in national security

 @9QZJSXKanswered…7mos7MO

Only for DEFENCE, not OFFENCE. Very open to abuse. Complicated question. No simple answers.

 @9992HTRSocialist Alliance  from GU  answered…9mos9MO

No, this would set a dangerous precedent and lead to coldly effective but immoral foreign policy decisions.

 @9MYFHGPanswered…9mos9MO

I think that whilst the implementation of AI into the armed forces is inevitable, and that because other countries will utilise the benefits of AI usage in the military, it is only a matter of time that an arms race for the militarisation of AI (much like the nuclear arms race during the cold war) will happen if it hasn't already and therefore we should not be left behind in terms of military capability with potential adversaries; I do not think that the militarisation of AI is a good thing. Firstly, it will only serve to make defence contractors and military industrial complex [who are…  Read more

 @9QSSLD9answered…7mos7MO

I believe that AI can be useful but must be carefully integrated into defense and not be related to identifying people, but instead tracing weapon loss.

 @9QS3S9Lanswered…7mos7MO

Yes, but with strict regulation, accountability and usage of AI for more peaceful prospects.

 @9PS5PFLanswered…8mos8MO

AI can be useful analysis tools, however autonomous hardware is an easily corruptible threat. Also, outsourcing strategic decision making to AI could easily lead to many phyrric victories, which should be considered losses.

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

How do you personally feel about the idea of autonomous drones deciding whether to engage in combat without human input?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

What worries you more: nations not adopting AI fast enough in defense or developing AI too quickly without enough oversight?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Do you think AI could help prevent wars from happening or will it just escalate arms races between countries?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

If AI systems are used for cyber defense, do you believe they can truly keep up with human hackers or outmaneuver them?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

How might AI in defense change the way governments and soldiers view the concept of 'sacrifice' in war, and is that a good thing?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

What are your thoughts on who should be held responsible if an AI system makes a mistake that results in the loss of lives during a conflict?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

How do you think the use of AI in national defense aligns with our values around human rights and justice?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Could AI in military strategies one day reduce human casualties or will it simply lead to more advanced forms of warfare?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Could you trust a machine to defend your country, or does that responsibility need to stay with humans no matter what?

 @ISIDEWITHasked…5mos5MO

Do you think letting machines make life-and-death decisions in military conflicts is a necessary step forward or does it cross an ethical line?
