What role do you think a political party should play in supporting families facing social issues such as divorce or child custody disputes?
@9WFQKF73mos3MO
A political party should want to impose fair policies to prevent the HARM of a child, NOT to keep the family together because ultimately it is worse for a child to experience an abusive or unhealthy home with 2 parents than it is to have the choice of which parent they live with.
I believe that we need to take greater input from the children themselves combined with a destion from a court.

There needs to be adequate health and education services available to everyone in these families. ie universal health care needs to extend to mental and dental health services and a universal basic income to support struggling families could well avoid relationship breakdowns in the first place. Financial pressures cause a lot of pain right across the spectrum of society.There also needs to be a massive increase in funding to domestic violence support and education services.
