How much influence do you believe citizens should have over laws that govern them compared to elected officials?

 @9LMDLMFanswered…4wks4W

All of it. If a person is affected by a law, they should have a say in how it works and if it passes. For some rich, old man to decide "for the people" is an insult to democracy

 @9LK9VZLanswered…4wks4W

I believe that citizens should have nearly as much say as an elected official.

Only through the current system. Too many idiots to make their own decisions.

Can you give an example of a time when protecting someone's freedom meant making a personal sacrifice?

 @9JLHV4Danswered…3mos3MO

There is a difference between theoretical and practical freedom. For example, in America you have the freedom to get a gun and not be shot by someone else but others access to firearms limits your ability to stay safe. Practical freedom are the goal not theoretical.

Do you think every individual should have an equal say in the decisions that affect their lives, or are some people more qualified to make those decisions than others?

 @9HCXTZWanswered…5mos5MO

Well, there needs to be more authority over people as of now, to keep them from going too far, but they should also have an equal say in decisions that they would need to have.
