No we should focus on a curriculum that it the same across ALL public schools throughout Australia and increase wages for teachers and all education support staff.

 @B4F3MZQanswered…3wks3W

Yes, but all teachers are required to move schools every ten years and private schools can only get 70% of the funding that goes per head to public schools.

 @B4B9G5Panswered…3wks3W

No, governments should not involve themselves in any kind of education. This is a matter for parents.

 @B49RVNXGreenanswered…4wks4W

Yes but not at the expense of funding public schools where the Charter School meets the unmet needs of social group such as disabled, gifted or creatives.

 @B35C6BYOne Nationanswered…2mos2MO

tbh i dontt even know what a charter skl is so i couldnt give a damn if im being totally and completely honest with ya lad

 @B33ZG2Tanswered…2mos2MO

No, private schooling should be funded by the families of those students and not tax payers. Government funding for chartered and private schools should only take place through grants when or if the private school has beneficiaries to the greater community such as outreach programs.

 @B33YSD6answered…2mos2MO

I support Charter schools, if they are self supporting and run like a private business and not funded by the government. Want to run a business, run it yourself without handouts.

 @B2GTGBX answered…3mos3MO

No, we should focus on improving public schools and increasing wages for all those who work in schools, including ES staff.

 @9WQWCQPanswered…6mos6MO

The entire education system needs to be overhauled. It currently only focuses on science and maths and puts too much pressure on students to perform in these areas. There are many areas where young people can succeed and they should be allowed to pursue these areas such as art, music, dance, hospitality, child care etc and not to be made feel less than because of this. Also many things young people need to learn are not covered in school, like money management, superannuation, what your rights are at work. We want successful adults lets give them the tools instead of an inferiority complex. School is only for those who can sit and do brainless activity for 8 hours let make Australia creative and resourceful through giving our children the gift of curiosity.

 @9VMP22PLaboranswered…7mos7MO

Statistically they are not better than public schools so I don't see the point of spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on education.

 @9DXR7GGGreenanswered…2yrs2Y

Yes and they need to link this to ndis funding to encourage collaborative education

 @B3WRDQQanswered…1mo1MO

Both final no statements with schooling not being privatised and improving the quality of public schools and increasing teachers wages

 @9VJBDL3Independentanswered…7mos7MO

Yes, as the current public system does not do well in terms of the treatment of teachers, discipline and has a very sub-standard curriculum.

 @9KMZMN8Great Australiananswered…1yr1Y

No, we should reform the education curriculum to remove unnecessary subjects such as cultural, political and lgbtqa+ topics.

 @9KM7C7ZOne Nationanswered…1yr1Y

Yes, but they should be monitored to make sure that students are learning valuable information and aren't being indoctrinated and used for minions for a greater cause (Including bad causes)

 @9K9ZQGLanswered…1yr1Y

No because education should not be private, public schools need the funding and teachers need better wages

 @9FJHZ9Manswered…2yrs2Y

I believe that having charter schools is good because indiviuals have more say on how the school is run. However, goverment should regularly hold inspections on charter schools to see if any misuse or inappropriate behaviour is occuring.

 @9L53BVXanswered…1yr1Y

No, education should be co-operatively owned by union member employees and democratically elected employers

 @96HTVY3answered…3yrs3Y

Yes, we should build more private schools and privatise the entire education system. Ban all public schools and increase teacher wages.

 @942VKVGanswered…3yrs3Y

We should provide limited support for private schools & not remove support for them entirely. But, divert more focus on improving our public schools and increasing teacher wages instead, while keeping private schools within orbit.

 @93TCPTKanswered…3yrs3Y

Both have a place for people who want to excel in a certain area or people who can't succeed in normal school

 @9346VCDanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, Education is very important, public schools needs improving and teachers should be better supported. If Charter school are able to provide additional education on top of public school then why not

 @8ZV5SQ3Family Firstanswered…3yrs3Y

No, we should focus on improving our public schools and increasing teacher wages instead and education should not be privatised

 @8ZSMMTCGreenanswered…3yrs3Y

No, education should not be privatised and we should focus on improving our public schools and increasing teacher wages instead

 @8ZQLSB6answered…3yrs3Y

Individual Public schools should be more accountable for their actions and parents shouldn’t have to go through the different levels to get issues resolved. All students should be streamed into their individual needs and learning styles.

 @8ZLP7LQLaboranswered…3yrs3Y

independent public schools should be more common than private religious schools

 @8Z3HNHVChristian Democraticanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, but the funding should not stipulate what core subjects and teachings if the school doesn't believe in that.

 @8YZDLTLGreenanswered…3yrs3Y

primary to highschool be free to attend as they are compulsory, no one should be shut out from a good education because they can’t afford it

 @8Y3CS9MGreenanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, not all children "fit" at mainstream schools and have the right to an appropriate education for them.

 @8XTH3HGanswered…3yrs3Y

Yes I support charter schools, Teachers need more qualifications and should be paid accordingly.

 @8XS3YXSDemocratic Labouranswered…3yrs3Y

Yes, as long as public schools are not negatively effected and the schools follow regulations.

It should be about giving the best education possible shouldn't matter!

 @8TPFVBKanswered…4yrs4Y

Only for non profit, not at the expense of public schools after improvements & wage increases

 @8TLHSVKIndependentanswered…4yrs4Y

Private schools that mirror public school ages should receive a partial amount of government funding that public schools do, otherwise private school citizens have zero education return on the taxes they pay towards education.

 @8THSFT7answered…4yrs4Y

No, and education should not be privatised. All schools should be non profit and focus on education. Currently the major focus is on profits and management salary packages.

 @8TB99LGLaboranswered…4yrs4Y

I support charter schools as much as I support public schools - however, I believe teacher's wages need to be increased at both.

 @8SZSXSNanswered…4yrs4Y

Neither, we need to focus on improving our public schools and increasing teacher wages.

 @8S3TXDKGreenanswered…4yrs4Y

Charter schools have been known to cause issues. They should be checked on and made sure there is enough funding to actually provide students with education. If most students there have special needs then teachers need to know how to handle that. If a teacher cannot handle it then it can make the behaviour of the students worse.

 @8RFXSZQanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, and we should privatise more of our education system, but not all of it

 @8RBYMN4Laboranswered…4yrs4Y

No, education should not be privatised and we should focus on improving our public schools and increasing teacher wage instead.

 @8RB9HP4Independentanswered…4yrs4Y

I am fine with non-religious charter schools, but religion SHOULDN'T be taught in school

 @8RB5ZCJanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, but they should not receive government funding, and should not be able to be exempt from taxation.

 @8R7RF7Vanswered…4yrs4Y

The education system is designed to create workers, not members of the society who know practical life skills. It's fundamentally flawed and out dated.

 @8R285M9answered…4yrs4Y

No, we need to find a way for better equity. I don't support a system designed for the elite.

 @8QX5S5Tanswered…4yrs4Y

No, and put way more funding into public schools. Education should be free.

 @8NZJXSNanswered…4yrs4Y

 @8MBS64Fanswered…4yrs4Y

Yes, so long as the public funding is increased as well particularly teacher wages.

 @8GCH95Zanswered…5yrs5Y

Private and public education both have their place in the education system.

 @8G3ZJZHanswered…5yrs5Y

No, parents and religious beliefs should not be a factor in deciding what is deemed appropriate to be taught in schools. More financial support should be redirected toward improving public schools and making them more affordable for low-income households.
