I believe it is un-democratic to have a Governor General, under the command of some noble from overseas, that can strike down our proposed laws and must sign into practice every legislative decision made in our government. The Monarchy in Australia could be kept as a figurehead and for cultural events, but in the modern day, should in now way shape or form have a genuine say in the lawmaking process of our nation.
