According to the World Nuclear Association, Australia houses 28% of the entire worlds uranium resources, worth approximately $198 AUD per kilogram. Australia already exports most of its uranium to foreign nations, who use it to their own benefit, such as power, and weapons. Australia does not maximise the benefits of its uranium resource.
With talks over nuclear energy increasing, we should be saving our uranium for ourselves, rather than selling it out.
