If you want to transition away from coal then current non-nuclear technologies will not carry the entire transition. If you want to avoid nuclear and meet emissions targets then we need to invest in R&D to discover new energy breakthroughs.

Nuclear energy offers unmatched reliability and importantly is less affected by weather. It provides consistent power, essential for our meeting demands especially when renewables fall short.
Nuclear energy is world known (by intellect minds) as the best way to mass produce energy, however this does not mean we cannot continue to grow in other sources
there have been events in the past of other countries where nuclear energy has caused towns to be disregarded due to nuclear pollution and cancer-ridden people. nuclear as a whole may be great for medical practices in some senses but overall i don't agree with the effects and just the fact that human error is always happening, you can't risk human error with something that powerful.

Nuclear energy offers a more reliable source of energy compared to wind or solar as they have external dependencies. Contrary to popular belief nuclear energy is an extremely safe and clean alternative to fossil fuels

Nuclear energy is by far the best possible solution, we should be putting nuclear everything, its not dangerous when done correctly.

These energy sources have a place but are not economically viable, nuclear is the only efficient low-carbon energy source that is viable on a large scale. Governments need to invest in the safety and efficiency of nuclear energy rather than subsidising "green" energy sources.

its expensive and Australia doesn't have any volcanoes or massive dams to create electricity and we have a lot of uranium that is going to waste as well might as well use it.

Clean energy will help to a certain extent however, Nuclear power is a low-carbon energy source that can provide consistent and reliable electricity, making it a valuable part of the clean energy mix.
Modern nuclear technology has improved safety and waste management, reducing the risks associated with older reactor designs. By incorporating nuclear energy into the mix, we can ensure a more stable and reliable energy supply while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Note thorium reactors are a type of nuclear reactor and are even safer than uranium-based reactors.

Nuclear energy is more reliable, safer and capable of producing more electricity than these alternatives. Hydroelectric dam failure has killed more people than nuclear disasters. Note thorium reactors are a type of nuclear reactor and are even safer than uranium-based reactors.

First of all, it is great that we have all these wonderful renewable energy options available but the bills to use these sustainable energy sources are sky high and also coupled in with cost of living pressures, Aussies won’t have a bar of it so nuclear energy is a clean, efficient and more affordable for the everyday Australian consumer

when looking at statistics you can see that nuclear causes less deaths that all other alternatives and is better for the environment. It would also be the easiest way to replace coal with the only real problem being storing the waste generated from the plants which is already solved by placing it deep underground in a place not prone to earthquakes which is perfect for us in australia.

Nuclear energy is easy to implement and effective while other "cleaner" alternatives will require a long transition period.
