no, i think this is a way for upper class people to marginalize the underprivileged, drug use is all throughout our society from the super rich to the dirt poor, ganging up on those who have not makes the situation worse, besides, many conclusive studies have proved that it is the situation in which a person lives which drives them to use, so instead i say use the money that would have been used for drug testing and instead use that to increase living conditions in the poor regions, because assuming that just because someone is on welfare that they use drugs is misinformation discrimination and bigotry, instead how about testing only those who show signs of "non useful" transactions, and not just those on welfare im talking ANYONE who receives government money including politicians, but, only in the case or erratic behavior and unusual spending, however tests should only be conducted when and after and investigation has concluded that the recipient of the money is found to be using it for non essential transactions.
I could sit here and write al day about the difference between drug use and addiction, about the links between addiction and environment, about marginalization about bigotry toward the have nots, also i could write about the use of drugs among the rich and upper class throughout history, and how if anyone deserves the spotlight on spending its them.
