Liberal Democrat’s answer: NejScientific evidence suggests that the Earth’s climate has changed throughout its existence, sometimes dramatically, and that changes in climate have impacted human civilisation. Should the evidence become compelling that global warming is due to human activity, that such global warming is likely to have significantly negative consequences for human existence, and that changes in human activity could realistically reverse those consequences, the LDP would favour market-based options.Source
Skulle regeringen tillade salg af australske land og vand landbruget til udenlandske købere?statistikdrøfte
Family First’s answer: NejFamily First MP Rob Brokenshire says a foreign land ownership register in South Australia would help keep track of trends in overseas investment. A bill introduced by Mr Brokenshire to create a register of foreign owned land passed the state's Upper House yesterday and will now go the Lower House. Mr Brokenshire says it is not aimed at stamping out foreign investment but he wants to ensure the interests of local farmers are protected. "People would be able to look at that and if all of a sudden there was a big spike in the amount [of] foreign investment, the evidence is there, the debate can be had and the Parliament can also then debate transparently whether it's a good thing to have so much land being sold overseas," he said. He says the register would help map the trends and give farmers a better idea of who is buying land in the region. "We believe that we need to have our focus, food production in particular, on family farming," he said. "That's the backbone of this state and that's the future of this s...Source
Liberal Democrat’s answer: JaForeign investment does not disrupt either markets or trade. For those who would like to sell their properties and have some money left over after paying off the banks, or who want to borrow against their property, it is to be especially welcomed. More buyers mean higher prices.Source

Liberal Democrat’s answer: JaGenetisk modificerede afgrøder tilbyder mange fordele for miljøet, herunder reduceret brug af pesticider og højere udbytter. I fremtiden vil GM-afgrøder forbedre fødevarekvalitet, trives i tørke og forbedre miljøskader såsom saltholdighed.Source
Skulle regeringen tillade minedrift og eksport af uran?statistikdrøfte
Family First’s answer: Ja“At the moment there is a legislated blockade — you can’t even start because an act of parliament says no nuclear,” Senator Day said. “Let’s remove the barrier. If it does become viable then South Australia needs to be well-positioned in order to take advantage of that.” The federal government has made a submission to the royal commission highlighting the benefits of Australia’s nuclear activities.Source
Liberal Democrat’s answer: JaWith demand for nuclear fuel set to increase in coming years, the LDP believes Australia cannot afford to neglect this important source of foreign revenue. There has been a reluctance to capitalise on this valuable resource in the past, with compromises such as the three mines policy operating during the 1980s. The LDP would remove current restrictions on the nuclear industry in Australia - allowing uranium exploration and exports with no limit on mine numbers. The only limitation it would place on uranium exports is to take reasonable steps to ensure it was not used in the production of nuclear weapons.Source

Liberal Democrat’s answer: JaThe nuclear industry also has the potential to create a secondary industry based on the storage of waste products. With vast expanses of uninhabited, geologically stable land, Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory could become world leaders in the field of safe storage of nuclear waste. The storage of nuclear waste, if done properly, is safe. Moreover, storage in Australia would help keep it from ending up in the wrong hands.Source
