Yes, but slightly different to the national security option. Only if the information released doesn't harm our national security in a sense that for example it won't reveal classified strategic documents or reveal names of covert-operatives. They should be protected if the information released reveals actions by the government not in the public interest or if it is a violation of Commonwealth or international law.

Yes, and free whistleblowers currently in prison, drop current cases against whistleblowers and strike all whistleblower charges from all criminal records.

Yes, however, only wherein the information was legally obtained and does not threaten national security (in a practical or conceptual way), nor should it threaten the health, safety, lives or personal liberty of Australian citizens and Australian Government employees in a literal and/ or legal fashion; nor in some other sense established by the courts.

Yes, because whistleblowers take a huge risk to expose issues that need to be exposed so we shouldn't be "shooting the messenger" but instead focusing on the issues exposed.

Yes, and hackers should be offered monetary compensation for providing anonymous tips to police
